"The TruTeq USSD Gateway is MNP ready and supports large numbers of SMPP or XML connections."

Serve real-time content

Application Generator USSD is proving to be one of the most efficient bearers for delivering VAS solution to subscribers. A growing number of GSM Network operators are seeing the potential of USSD to stem ARPU shrinkage. It is the ideal bearer - handset independent, intuitive and it doesn't need WIG or STK pre-loading of applications on the SIM card. In fact - it doesn't place any requirements on the SIM cards whatsoever.

A GSM Network Operator can now offer many useful and potentially revenue-generating services that would increase subscriber satisfaction and reduce churn. The ability to serve menus on-the-fly with a real-time responsiveness gives you the edge in an extremely competitive market. In addition, the Operator can also expose this useful bearer to third party content providers who can extend its use to hundreds of services.

Full Solution

The TruTeq USSD Gateway is bundled with TruRoute USSD, a fully-featured routing and rating platform with an easy provisioning interface, comprehensive statistics and usage reporting.

Rating

Rating is performed on a session, event, or time-based strategy with rates defined on a per-service code basis, or by the content provider. Rates can be applied towards the subscriber as well as the content provider. In order to encourage content providers to keep their systems up-to-date with sufficient capacity, the Operator may decide to impose financial penalties on slow server responses. Both prepaid and postpaid subscribers are supported. A unique feature is the ability to penalise content providers with underperforming servers with a time-based penalty.

Hardware

The System runs on server-type hardware, making the hardware extremely cost-effective with linear scaling. Node throughput scales from 10 up to 320 USSD transactions per second on a single node. A load-balanced configuration can increase the throughput to several thousand transactions per second.
