A Steady Revenue Stream

Internet access is a steady source of revenue for a GSM Network Operator. This poses a number of challenges as all mobile phones were not created equal. A WAP gateway needs to be able to accomodate all the compliancy standards to be useful. Our product handles both WAP1 and WAP2 traffic. It also features a radius proxy function and MSISDN injection into HTML headers. Content providers can use this information to directly bill a subscriber for content without laborious and irritating login and authentication screens.

The TruTeq WAP Gateway contains open-source software integrated to the workhorse TruTeq telco framework. This solution therefore offers the same monitoring and configuration features we offer on al our other telco products.

There are no throughput license restrictions on the WAP Gateway.

Monitoring

As with all our products, the Operator has full statistics and system monitoring to manage the WAP infrastructure optimally. The WAP Gateway is MNP ready.

Hardware

The System runs on server-type hardware, making the hardware extremely cost-effective with linear scaling. Licenses may scale from 10tps upwards. Redundancy is tailored to the customer's requirements from a non-redundant solution to a full geo-diverse solution.
