In smaller networks, many SMSC's are still based on a voicemail platform with very limited capacity for external SMPP accounts. TruRoute SMS offers content routing based on long number or short codes. Connectivity to content providers is through SMPP3.4 or SSMI and the number of these connections are not license limited.Local store-and-forward capabilities reduce the load on the SMSCs in the case of underperforming client connections and by configuring throttling parameters per content provider, the operator can also protect the SMSCs against unplanned peaks.
Monitoring
As with all our products, the Operator has full statistics and system monitoring to manage the SMSC load optimally. The Operator can also get comparative performance statistics to identify problematic or underperforming content providers.OTA-type traffic is also supported, so an OTA provider can use TruRoute SMS to send handset settings for GPRS, WAP and MMS.
