TruTeq SMSC
The mainstay of many GSM Network Operator's VAS strategy, SMS is a hugely popular bearer understood and used in all the markets. In many cases, the SMSC is part of a voicemail system with low messaging capacity and little or no interfaces for other content providers.Often there are many licensing restrictions that make it unattractive for the Operator to market the bearer to content providers.
TruTeq's SMSC supports MO, MT and P2P. It features SMPP 3.4 and SSMI as interfaces to content providers and there is no license restriction on the number of content provider accounts. In some cases, the installation of our MT SMSC can pay for itself immediately with the reduction in the licensing costs of the legacy SMSCs.
Full Solution
In order to reduce system overhead, the TruTeq SMSC will first attempt a delivery before committing a message to the database. This results in vastly improved performance over other store-and-forward designs.The solution runs on affordable hardware with a maximum signalling capacity of 320tps per node. Unlimited umbers of nodes can be used for extremely high horisontal scaling.
Optional features include IMSI-based routing for MNP (mobile number portability) and subscriber information. Some features may increase the signalling overhead and will accordingly lead to lower throughput capacity on the signalling nodes. The TruTeq SMSC is bundled with TruRoute SMS, a fully-featured routing and rating platform with unrestricted number of SMPP3.4 and SSMI accounts for internal applications or connectivity to content providers. It has an easy provisioning interface, comprehensive statistics and usage reporting. The TruTeq SMSC is MNP ready and supports large numbers of SMPP connections.
