You will notice Linux in the specs below. If you don't know your way around Linux, then TruTeq is not the place for you. Microsoft-based development experience and expertise is not an advantage when you apply for a position with us.
At this time, we have the following positions:
Linux Guy/Gal (1 Position available)
Technical skills: You must know your stuff about networking (i.e. debugging network and protocol issues down to the TCP level with something like Wireshark), be able to admin a Linux machine from first principles (i.e. ssh, non-GUI only). You also need to be comfortable with:- Scripting in bash (and possibly perl/pyhton)
- Understanding of basic protocols such as SNMP, SMTP, HTTP
- Compiling a Linux kernel
- Databases (PostgreSQL) MCSE or A+ will not be an advantage.
- Linux in a GSM environment (WAP, MMS, SMS, SS7)
- UML (User Mode Linux - server virtualization technology)
- Advanced networking using Linux (load balancing, routing, etc)
- CGI scripting with bash (and dash)
- Linux embedded environments and LFS-type devices
Developer (1 Position available)
Technical skills:- Experience in GSM VAS environment
- SS7 knowledge and experience an advantage
- Programming under Linux
- Java
- C++
- Shell scripting (bash, awk, sed, etc)
- Extensive knowledge of TCP/IP and related protocols:
- HTTP
- DNS
- WAP
- SSH
- Databases (PostgreSQL)
Support Engineer (1 Position available)
Technical skills:- Experience in GSM VAS environment
- Linux skills (ip routing, process management, vi)
- Extensive knowledge of TCP/IP and related protocols:
- HTTP
- DNS
- WAP
- SSH
- Databases (PostgreSQL)
- Java runtime model and debugging
